About

Run.  Swim.  Jump.

Three words that describe my days of youth.  I was unstoppable, I was invincible, I was...healthy.

Between time at the beach, time spent on the court, or time spent in the gym, I was nearly always active.  Sad to say, I could eat nearly anything I wanted to, and it really didn't matter.  My favorite post-beach meal was an Ultimate Double Cheeseburger from Jack in the Box, and it didn't even phase me.

It's funny how you get in your twenties and in some ways never grow up.  It took me a while to realize that my body and metabolism wasn't the same as it used to be, and that I wasn't the invincible teenager that I once was.

Enter: this blog.  I realize that I won't get back to athletically competitive shape like I was in high school, but I can at least try.  This blog will include my goals, triumphs, failures, and lessons-learned on my journey back to good health.

About Me:
I grew up in Hawaii on the island of Maui.  As you would imagine, growing up I was always outdoors and active.  In my younger years, I was the "chubby and awkward" sibling in the family.  In high school however, I got myself in shape and performed pretty well in high school sports.  I left Hawaii in 2001 to study in Utah and since then have lived in California, New York, Hawaii and back in Utah.  After graduating from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, I settled down in Eagle Mountain, UT with my wife and kids and am currently working for an online marketing company.
